CrEd Connect Accra 2026: A Turning Point for Creative Education in West Africa
CrEd Connect Accra 2026 was more than a conference — it was a statement of intent. Held on 18–19 April at the Miklin Hotel in Ghana’s capital city, the two-day gathering brought together directors, franchisees, teachers, and partners from across Africa, the UK, and the USA. With a blend of in‑person and online participation, the event showcased CrEd’s growing influence and its commitment to shaping the future of creative education globally.
Across both days, one theme stood out clearly: CrEd is entering a new era of expansion, alignment, and excellence.
A Powerful Start: Strategic Engagement in Accra
In the days leading up to the event, CrEd directors Lisa Semple and Alan Montanaro met with several leading educational institutions in Accra — including Little Explorers Montessori, Dodi International School, Soul Clinic, My First Step International, Fun House Nursery, and Lincoln Community School.
The response was overwhelmingly positive. Several schools expressed immediate interest in adopting CrEd programmes, with three institutions already moving toward partnership status.
Accra’s education sector is vibrant, interconnected, and ready for innovation — making it essential for CrEd Ghana, under the leadership of Vivi Boateng, to set a high standard from the outset.
During this pre-event period, Alan and Lisa also delivered workshops in musical theatre, improvisation, monologue, and script work to young performers from Ghana and Nigeria. The training culminated in a spirited competition judged by CrEd director Vicky Stroud and Nigerian franchisor Adeola Badru.
